Are your pashminas and scarves really handmade?
Yes. Every MAHA Treasures 'scarf and wrap is handwoven in Nepal using traditional looms, often in small family workshops. Many are 100% pashmina wool; some are blended with fine wool or silk for durability and accessibility.
What’s Lokta paper?
Lokta is a tree-free, sustainable paper made from the bark of a wild Himalayan shrub. Handmade by women’s cooperatives in Nepal, it's used in our journals, vow books, wrapping paper, and elegant gift packaging.
Do you use natural dyes?
Yes, most of our scarves are dyed with natural ingredients like herbs, roots, and minerals in small Nepali dye houses. These variations are what make them truly one of a kind. Some products use dyeing processes that avoid the use of azo dyes.
What’s inside the gift sets?
Our gift sets vary, but often include a curated mix of pashmina accessories, Lokta paper goods, incense, prayer flags, and artisan-made decor. Everything is bundled with intention and ready to gift.

Who makes your products?
Our products are handmade by skilled artisans in Nepal — including women’s groups, traditional weavers, and even a visually impaired incense maker. With every purchase, you’re supporting these communities directly.

Yes. From plastic-free packaging to tree-free Lokta paper and small-batch production, sustainability is woven into every step.
Shipping and Warehousing
Where do you ship from?
We ship from three hubs: Maryland (USA), Glasgow (UK), and Kathmandu (Nepal). Your order may be fulfilled from the location closest to you for faster and more eco-conscious delivery.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to most countries from our U.S., U.K., or Nepal warehouses. Shipping rates and delivery times may vary based on location. Please check your country on the checkout page. If your country is not listed, shoot an email to care@mahatreasures.com.
What’s your return policy?
We accept returns of non-custom, unused items within 14 days of delivery. Customized and digital products are final sale. Please email us if you need help — we’re kind humans on the other side.
